Key Accomplishments
Product Development & Management
- Created and manage BraDiva.com, an e-commerce store specializing in sports bras. Developed the brand, designed all marketing collateral, designed and implemented the web site, and then managed and wrote requirements for a re-design. In addition, duties include inventory management, monitoring Google ad accounts, order fulfillment, running marketing efforts, dealing with customer relations, and more.
- Co-created UrbanFantasyReads.com, a directory of urban fantasy books. Directed development of custom Amazon code with an offshore developer, designed the site using the Joomla content management system, implemented new features and maintain the new features list. In addition, responsibilities include managing the database and the social media accounts that are used to advertise and market the site.
- Directed design and development of the Netscape Site Central on-line help system, which was a brand new HTML based product that went on to become the standard Netscape online help system.
Technical Documentation
- Wrote product requirements for several online products, which included writing business cases, creating design and technical specifications for programmers and designers, as well as writing business requirements for new features.
- Developed content for multiple online help systems, mobile deliverables, user guides, and procedural manuals. This content was written for a variety of software application, from end user applications to enterprise level product suites.
- Adept at taking technical information and putting it into easy-to-understand documentation, as well as creating technical procedures out of business needs.
Management & Strategy
- Created the user assistance content strategy for the Wells Fargo Wholesale banking portal, and managed the project to create a prototype of a brand new online help system.
- Acted as the lead for a team of eight writers at Wells Fargo, providing training, mentoring, and project management, as well as keeping the group aligned to the overall goals.
- Set up the technical writing department at DemandTec, which involved creating departmental guidelines, developing a DemandTec style and writing the style guide, designing a FrameMaker template that provided the look and feel for all technical documentation, and managing one writer and all projects.
- Managed multiple documentation projects, including setting schedules, meeting with cross-functional teams, developing content, and meeting deadlines.
